Everything you have said Josh is correct about Georgia being superior in the game, seems like it should be more then 3 point win…if you didn't know the score after hearing Josh you would think it was a 10 to 14 point win
This is the first time that Bama has been on the wrong side of a poorly officiated game. Every time that Bama has played UGA, it was UGA getting hosed by the refs (missed offsides call, incorrectly called catches, etc…) and this is the first time that the talking point has been on the refs instead of the outcome. Bama finally got a taste of their medicine.
Pass interference plays should be reviewable or you should be able to challenge them
Kudos to Georgia and Stockton particularly for balling out. But Josh, we didnt get a game where Georgia won definitively. We got a game where both teams played well and then UGa ultimately got bailed out by refs. One can say Georgia deserved to win (cause they did win) but Georgia did nothing to be called the "definitively better team".
As Bama moved the ball in the critical moments, we all saw that Georgia had no answer. Then the no call. That was that.
Anyway, everyone watching was robbed of the ending they deserved.
They were a. Underdog
Kudos to Georgia. Bama will be back. What I couldn't figure out is why Womack CONTINUALLY rushed 3 and dropped 8 on third and long when Stockton carved them up every..single..time. The times you had Stockton shook was when you brought pressure. Don't get it.
Watching the first Georgia drive it felt like Georgia was playing their game as it was scripted. Alabama looked timid on their first drive as if they were testing the field conditions to see what they could get away with in terms of any sort of RPO comparison.
You saw it BAMA fans saw by Grubb didn't. 🤬
Roll Tide
@6.18: I hate to blame the refs on anything…play the game. But I as a Dawgs fan, I agree with the Bama fans. But that's only because I've watched it for years: Home team ANTI-bias. It's like the ref's try to 'not' show a home team advantage but they go so far as to affect the game in the other direction.
Josh Pate needs to fix his SEC Qb ratings NOW!!!! The time for BS is over!!!! Stockton is the #1 Qb in the SEC!!!!! Don’t tread on college football 🙄
Deboer gonna have a stroke or heart attack on the sideline if he don't calm down
Everyone is capping as if Georgia dominated the game, when in reality….the game was decided by 3 pts and both teams were held less than half of their average points……one play either way in the game, or one call could have decided the outcome….Georgia had multiple fumbles, one on a punt return… that they were fortunate to grab…an interception inside their redzone that was called an incompletion, missed field goal…..(this game could have went either way)…let's be honest. both teams had tons of yards but none of them, scored or dominated anywhere close to their 48- 50+ pt averages………there was plays that looked great but for both teams to be held to 20 pts and below, says volumes
“Who’d Georgia have?” Pretty simple, they had the refs.
I was just happy to see that Deboer actually cares if Alabama wins or loses
The only thing I don’t like about what Deboer did was tell that kid that he cost them the game. That was the part I didn’t like about the butt chewing Lee Jr. got. Deboer had every right to be upset and jump his tail for what he did, but he didn’t have to say that.
Georgia won, it’s all good. We’ll see them again. Keelon did well for a 1st time starter seeing that defense
Vince Lombardi got onto one of his greatest stars at practice and sent him to the bench. The players name was Jerry Kramer, all pro lineman on the offense. Kramer got furious at Lombardi and wanted to hurt the man. Little by little he inched toward Lombardi. Finally he was within striking distance. Just before he grabbed him, Lombardi turned to his star and said, " Jerry, l'm only trying to make a better player out of you." Kramer immediately broke down crying. I heard this story from a reputable source, and l can see it happening. Later ✨️
That was a Great game,
Yep, I will keep on posting the same LOGIC in the hope that people will OPEN THEIR MINDS TO HOW LUDICRIS saying "the refs caused Alabama to lose".
Here is exactly why their logic completely falls apart under scrutiny:
1. The "Automatic Catch" Fallacy
If a flag is or isn't thrown for pass interference, fans automatically assume the play would have resulted in a flawless, 40-yard spectacular touchdown catch. They completely blank out the dozens of variables that happen on any given snap. Ridiculous.
When Alabama fans claim the refs cost them the 20-17 game against Georgia, they are completely ignoring the butterfly effect of football. They act as if you can change one single play at the end of a game, keep everything else exactly the same, and just add 7 points to the scoreboard. It is a completely narrow-minded way to view a dynamic sport.
IF a flag is or isn't thrown for pass interference, fans automatically assume the play would have resulted in a flawless, 40-yard spectacular touchdown catch. They completely blank out the dozens of variables that happen on any given snap:
• The wide receiver could have simply dropped a perfectly thrown ball.
• The quarterback could have slightly overthrown him due to defensive pressure.
• The ball could have tipped off a helmet and been intercepted by a Georgia safety anyway.
A penalty or a missed call creates a hypothetical scenario, not a guaranteed outcome.
A penalty or a missed call creates a hypothetical scenario, not a guaranteed outcome.
2. The Total Erasure of Georgia's Response
This is the funniest part of the narrow-minded argument. Football is a game of shifting momentum and tactical adjustments. Fans who whine about a call in the 3rd or 4th quarter act as if Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs would have just frozen in time and allowed the rest of the game to play out identically.
• If Alabama scores a touchdown on that drive, the entire game script changes.
• Georgia’s offense goes from playing conservatively to burning the clock to running a high-tempo, aggressive two-minute drill.
• Georgia has one of the most explosive, resilient rosters in the country; assuming they wouldn't have just marched right back down the field and answered with a game-winning drive of their own is pure delusion.
“it felt like Georgia put on a 31 or 34 point performance”
TBF, Georgia had a missed FG and a TD called back so that could’ve been 10 more points which gets you to 30. So that could be why it “felt“ like a 31 point performance.
You are kind of full of it. If the Refs called it even, Bama would have won the game.
